White Ibis

White Ibis is a wetland bird. It is a large bird that can be easily spotted around lakes and marshy places. These birds are white with black head and neck and black legs, adapted for wading in water. Its long, stout, downward curved bill helps it in probing the mud for food. Ibis's nest is a platform of twigs on trees standing in or near water. These birds do not possess voice-producing mechanisms and hence are silent.
