| Flowers appear in compact clusters which spring directly from heavy branches or from the slender terminal twigs. On opening, the flowers are bright orange and later turn red, giving each cluster a rich colour gradation. In full bloom, the orange and scarlet flower clusters contrast well with the deep green foliage. The flowering season is January to April or May. |
